Course Introduction and Objective
This 40 hour program equips students with the basic knowledge necessary to recognize and use color and color combinations to enhance facial features. The students will be exposed to the various techniques and product applications currently used in the industry. In addition, the student may choose to acquire a full professional make-up kit complete with brushes for daytime, evening, bridal and fashion artistry use.
A strong focus will be placed on client care. The program will address business and employment opportunities as well as day to day operations.

Airbrushing is a creative technique used for decades on film, television, media and print. Its long lasting durability and coverage makes it a staple for all makeup artists. Airbrushing gives you the ability to do clean simple looks with a flawless coverage or high fashion glamorous looks. This course includes a complete glamour Airbrush kit.

Course Introduction and Objective
Special effects is an artistic and creative method of makeup. This course will teach you the skills and techniques to pursue a career in film, TV, editorial and theater.
Prerequisites
- Proof of Makeup Artistry certificate/diploma or six months relevant work experience
- Personal interview to determine suitability for the program
Theory/Lecture and Practical Application component in Student Clinic
- Learn the products and tools of SPFX
- Old age makeup for theater
- Old age makeup for the camera
- Creating and applying bald caps
- Zombie/monster makeup
- Clown makeup
- Cuts, bruises and wounds
- Create a SPFX portfolio
This program is non vocational and does not require approval under the Private Career College Act, 2005
